Accounting

I have been working with the Friendship House Association of Prince Rupert for over 8 years now. My main role is to report spending to our funders, process the payable s, receivables and payroll, also to ensure that we are in full compliance
with Canada Revenue auditing requirements. This year our projects have been fully staffed and staff have been very busy getting their programs into our communities and out to families. Staff continue to find more granting opportunities that have allowed them to get their ideas and the needs of our community out to our clients and members. Each year they have grown their programs making them more accessible and resourceful. As The Friendship House grows every year, they renovated their buildings to make the space more inviting to staff and members. It has allowed for programs to run more smoothly and be more accessible for the members. They have landscaped the yard to make it a more inviting space for our children and they have expanded their membership to include even more people into our programs. Our staff works hard all year round, to reach out to our community and youth. They have made long term relationships with our clients, which leave them with lifetime memories and skills that can be passed on for years to come. I have enjoyed every year that I have worked with The Friendship House Association of Prince Rupert and look forward to continuing for years to come.
