My name is Rosalie Temple, Aama Goot Womens Wellness Coordinator I offer support and information on health and wellness to our clients. I help those that need help finding resources in our community and here at the Friendship House.
In the past year we have been working hard to bring our clients back into the building. Because of the Pandemic some that still won’t spend too much time with others. We have a core group that meet each week. These are some of the groups and Projects we do.
- Power Puff Girlz Club
- Ladyz Club
- KAPS distress bread/produce
- Little Cubs
- Soap for Hope Project
- Event Hampers/Dinners (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
- Taste of Tradition
Our goal is to give opportunities to our clients to learn something new whether it be cooking, sewing, beading, leather work, and so on. I ask the clients what they want to try and I see if I can make it happen.
All the projects I put forward are well accepted. I try to make it so it is easy enough for the clients to accomplish. Teaching is very rewarding when the student gets to the end point with a smile.
Taste of tradition is a popular project the clients learn how to process traditional foods. And they get to bring some of it home. The clients love learning how to process traditional foods. Little Cubs was a success again this year. Wishing everyone a good year in learning/Teaching. Be kind and gentle with each other.
